SUMMARY

TO COMBINE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND VISUAL COMFORT, TO BENEFIT OPERATION AND TRAFFIC, IS THE RESULT REACHED BY AN INNOVATIVE LIGHTING, WHICH IS ABLE TO HARMONIOUSLY LIGHT UP THE ENTIRE TUNNEL ENVIRONMENT.

To combine visual comfort with energy and technology efficiency is a recurring target for any roadway lighting project, in particular for tunnelling. In order to reach it, Advanced Green Economy Group (AGE) has developed a solution called  AGE Tunnel Comfort Plus, a new induction lighting of high energy efficiency and very long lasting (with reduction of maintenance and operation costs), designed to offer the maximum visual comfort to the travellers, with high level safety standards. AGE’s R&D team started from the need of creating a luminous flux as uniform as possible, avoiding glare and/or visual compensation caused by conical light/dark areas, and completed the product with all the extraordinary innovation already adopted for most of AGE’s products.

“AGE Tunnel Comfort Plus – as AGE states – emphasises the three-dimensionality of the spaces to light up, creating a bubble of light that hit the horizontal and vertical plans, with a soft luminous flux, avoiding spot-light effects and enlighten also the marginal areas in the respect of the regulation”

Therefore, the solution provides a homogeneous light for the road and, as well, for the marginal areas, the signs and the vehicles, without glare nor flickering.

Another innovation applied is the possibility to separate the electronic ballast from the fixture for up to 75m, with the advantage of making easier any maintenance operations, without traffic interruptions.

Tunnel Comfort Plus, ultimately, has an high resistance to high temperatures, therefore in case of a fire, enables the lighting to function for a long duration assisting with the evacuation operation, together with a improved visibility thanks to the multi-frequency luminous flux that facilitates the passage of light among the smoke.
